I first met Renata and Joe at a bridal show I did this past fall. As it turns out one of my best friends I’ve known FOREVER recommended they stop by my booth and see if they like my work. They stopped, they looked, they liked, then they called! The rest is history!
When we began discussing different locations of where we should photograph for their Spark Session I had made mention that I spend as much time as I can at the ocean as possible, and that I hope to someday move there. (Don’t worry kids, I’m thinking retirement age.) As it turns out Renata and Joe love spending time in the Watch Hill area of Rhode Island. A quaint and picturesque, historical beachside town. If you’ve never been, the walk to look at the amazing houses and boats is worth it! There’s also some great shopping too!
Through our session I learned that they wanted to elope at the Ocean House, (So of course we had to get some photos of it in the background!), that Renata is crafty and even made the adorable sign she’s holding with their wedding date on it, and where Taylor Swift lives! Craziest thing – she has two signs outside her gates that say ‘I knew you were trouble when you walked in.’ How Taylor! (Let’s start a hashtag!) She also has a very funny, yet burly gate guard, and has locked up the place like Fort Knox! I need to add – that any idiot who would be dumb enough to try and scale the GIGANTIC rock wall and rod iron fence she’s had installed and the 24/7 security – good luck! Pretty sure she probably has a Rottweiler or Doberman farm on the other side. So getting back to these two, I had an amazing time going around their most favorite place in the world, and my favorite place in the world (the ocean!) They had beautiful light, romance, and a little cupcake for Renata’s birthday too!
