Kristen + Jay had a celebration to remember. They were one of my last weddings of the season and by their laid back and fun personalities, I knew their day would be a blast. They chose The Riverview for their special day, the day after thanksgiving. Ironically a few years prior, her sister also got married there. Same day, same place, different guy! haha!From the second we all met I knew that we were going to hit it off. These two quickly became individuals I would call friends. They have a love of craft beer, spending time in Vermont, where Kristen is originally from, and travel. By the time their wedding day arrived I felt as though I was watching two close friends solidify a bond that I was fortunate enough to be able to document.

Kristen has similar taste, choosing a classic lace gown, and an accompanying belt with just the right amount of bling. The Simsbury Inn was the perfect New England setting to get ready for their special day, providing a classic location and beautiful backdrops for all their details, dressing, and gift exchange. The weather had a touch of early winter fog, something I absolutely love photographing in. Its mysterious and romantic feel can provide a stunning setting for portraits, and with the Riverview as their venue, its a combination for stunning images. The exterior is as stunning as the interior. Its the perfect setting for the couple who wants everything in one place, a little bit of nature in their photos, and a grand space that can accommodate lots of guests comfortably.
