I don’t think I have a high school or post-high school memory without Eric (Kirsh) in it. From the awkward teenage years we all experienced, to the confusing college years, even the time he was our roommate, we’ve all had some great memories together. From midnight whiffle ball where the bases are camp chairs, the fireworks at DJ’s camp on Lake Sacandaga on the 4th of July, the endless nights of working on cars in the East Main Street garage, we are so lucky to have such a good friend.

When Kirsh met Liz I liked her immediately. She has a great sense of humor, which we all know is so important in relationships. She’s also very driven. As multicultural linguist and educator, I’ve always loved the great intellectual conversations I’ve had with her. Now that they’ve moved to Arizona, and now Nebraska, we feel the void. We miss the nights of great conversations in the back yard over my good cooking (If I do say so myself!) and drinking wine while solving the world’s problems.

Fast forward to their wedding, and I can honestly say I had the best time capturing Liz’s animated facial expressions, and Kirsh’s affectionate looks at his bride. I was also over the moon when they both agreed to do a first look! I had such a blast capturing it. Watching Kirsh observe the trees with NO IDEA how close Liz was getting to him. He just kept asking ‘Is she here?! Is it time?!’ What a great moment for me to be a part of. Couple that with the ever changing sun and the peaceful nature of Belchertown, and you’ve got yourself a backyard wedding – Kirsh and Liz style! Hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I loved taking them. 🙂

I am so blessed to have you both in my life. You guys are good friends and we miss you both so much. Hopefully you’ll back East soon, and Liz – I am here for you when you need all that mama advice! 🙂 xoxo Love you both, and congratulations on your beautiful wedding!
