I first met Nikki back when she was a student in my photography program at Chicopee High School. She loved photography, and clearly we hit it off because she became my intern her senior year! I remember when she’d talk about Joe. He was in the military and at the time he was on leave. When he took her to her senior prom he wore his full military service uniform. They looked stunning together even then. After graduation life became busy for Nikki + Joe with the school and work balance. Though it all they stayed together, and one day in a bumper car, Joe proposed. Nikki said yes! Last year Nikki came to visit me at the Springfield Bridal Expo. I was so glad to hear they were getting married and even more excited that they wanted me to be their photographer.
That brings us to their Spark Session! Early on when were were thinking of ideas, Nikki + Joe had talked about doing their shoot with a boat. I was only TOO excited to do it, and then I just couldn’t let it go. The day finally came, and we found the perfect body of water, at the golden hour. Cue the romantic music from the Notebook! We also thought it would be good to balance out the collection with some portraits at Mount Holyoke College, and the result is a stunning collection that is unique and adventurous.
Here are my favorites from their Notebook inspired Spark Session.
Congratulations on your engagement you two! I had a blast on our adventure!! 🙂 I couldn’t be more excited to photograph your special day! <3
