It’s hard to even know where to begin when it comes to Janna + her family. I began teaching in Chicopee about 12 years ago. During my time in the city I’ve made some wonderful friends. One of the best ones I’ve made is my friend Beth, who is Janna’s sister. Beth had told me for years that I needed to meet her because she was a photographer, and that we’d totally hit it off! Now, sometimes when someone says that it can go either way! You will either love them, or dislike them, but who really knows! When I did FINALLY meet Janna, it was like she was a long lost friend!

As a person Janna is energetic, happy, and finds humor in everything, much like myself. She and I have brains that pretty much parallel one another, and her passion and spirit inspired me to pursue weddings when I doubted myself. She was my go to for tings when I first started and was debating what to do. She encouraged me, cheered for me, and has been a sounding board and dear friend for me since then. Between Janna + Beth, I feel that I was given a gift of friendship from the universe, and definitely found my mothership in them.

Fast forward 12 years later, we have ALL had children, with Janna + Don adding their son Bodie into the mix this past year! As parents these two are doting, caring, and are able to laugh about all the little adventures they have as parents. Some of Bodie’s facial expressions were PRICELESS. My favorites are definitely when we chased the sun and got that beautiful peach sky. Those images that freeze time forever against a majestic backdrop always draw me in. Being able to photograph this special time for them, and share so many laughs was so needed! We were one stay SO OVERDUE to catch up, this really created the perfect opportunity for all of us!
