At my very first meeting with Kim + Steve I could tell by their outlook on life and their wedding that working with them would be a lot of fun. I remember Kim telling me how important photography was to her, and I felt so glad inside. She and Steve really valued what I was doing from day one, placing their complete trust in me to create unique images for them. I wasn’t sure what the weather would do at first, but the day ended up being sunny and perfect! Shaker Farms Country Club did a beautiful job with the ceremony site, styling it with mums, hay, and other little touches that were thoughtful and perfect for fall.

What I love most about these two is how wonderfully the two compliment one another. With Kim + Steve, they are able to find humor in every challenging situation they face, and move through each one with ease. When you see them together, how they bring out the happiness in one another, it could soften any heart with joy. Those connections are evident in their first look and the way these two looked at one another when they came down the isle.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when Kim walked down to meet her groom with her parents and once Steve saw her he was overcome with emotion. The moment had finally come, and he couldn’t wait to spend the rest of his life with her. It was a beautiful moment and I was honored to have been able to photograph it, preserving it forever. After some fun dancing, cake cutting, and thoughtful speeches the two celebrated into the night with family and friends. Towards the end of the evening we took a moment to step outside and release a sky lantern. It was a peaceful moment for this couple, who will move into the next exciting stage of their lives.
