Amanda and I work together as Career & Technical Education Instructors at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. Having her friendship has been wonderful, especially since we are the only two female shop instructors! When she told me she was expecting, I was so excited for her! Knowing what a crazy adventure motherhood can be it was nice to share some of the things I have learned with her. Being a shop instructor has its challenges, and its quite different than being a classroom instructor. Amanda is a Metal Fabrication and Joining instructor. She’s responsible for so much, and especially the student’s safety while learning the equipment.

Amanda and her husband Brian are both welders and enjoy hunting. For their shoots they wanted to have sessions that reflected their interests. It was fun doing some traditional images, and then incorporating in the various things they had brought. These two couldn’t be happier about becoming parents, another thing I’m sure they’ll be amazing at.
