When Allison came to be a few months back, she was looking for just the right photographer. She had a specific vision for her wedding photos, and she thought that I was the person that could bring that to her. At first I wasn’t sure that I could photograph for them. Their wedding would be on a Friday in June, which as an instructor is a difficult time for me to accommodate, and in turn had to say that I wasn’t available. I gave Allison some names of other photographers and wished her all my best. What I didn’t expect was that a few weeks later she would get in touch again and asked me if I was SURE I wasn’t available. She had looked around and couldn’t find anyone that quite fit her needs. We looked at the time line, and were able to work it out. The rest is history.
When I met Edwin at our Spark Session and saw him and Allison together, I knew they were a couple meant to last a lifetime. Edwin adores Allison, and you can tell by how attentive he is to her. The joy in her eyes when he holds her is bright enough to light up a room, and fill your heart with happiness – even if you’ve never met either of them before. Their choice to have a destination wedding in New Haven by the sea is dear to my heart. I love the ocean, which enriched photographing their wedding for me. The colors Allison chose were the colors of summer. Peaches, pinks, and warm tones that can also be seen in her bouquet. Edwin’s choice of a classy gray suit is so complementary to the rest of the palette, I couldn’t have made a better decision myself!
Here are my favorites from their BEAUTIFUL New Haven wedding!
