When I learned that Alesia, Brendon, and their wedding planner Kristen wanted to work with me, I was so excited! Their wedding was planned for the week between Christmas and New Years of 2018, which meant plans would pick up sped quickly, but also that we had to get them in for their session so they could get their Save the Dates out. Lucky for me, that meant a spring session! (Which is one of my favorite times of year to shoot!) Not a lot of leaves on the trees, which means no crazy green tones, just beautiful light and the beginning of the cycle of life all over again. (Oh, and pollen. Don’t forget pollen! AhhCOO!)
When I learned that Brendon was a firefighter and that they wanted to try and do some photos at the firehouse, I of COURSE was all for it. I love having the opportunity to photograph in new locations that are both fun and challenging. To be able to photograph in a place that has had such a big impact on their lives, I couldn’t think of anytime more perfect.
Whats interesting about these two is that they’re a little bit of everything. Rustic, as well as classic and Timeless, and also hold great respect for being a Civil Servant. So we went on tour of Western Mass. First one of my favorite little spots in Amherst to get warmed up. We had some stunning light that gave the perfect romantic glow for these two. The second, an area of Springfield that these two admire. Wrought iron fences, brick sidewalks, and the most beautiful homes. It was a little hidden gem that I hope to go back and shoot at again someday. Lastly, we stopped at the firehouse, which was the perfect end to a perfect day. Along for the day was their adorable pup Scoop, who would later make an appearance at their wedding! (More on that down the road!)
For now, enjoy my favorites from this beautiful couple’s Spark Session. 💕
Im so happy to have the opportunity to work with you guys! Thanks for going on a western mass adventure with me! Was such a fun day!! 😊
